Alternatives to "any video to DVD converter and burner" ?

Anyone know of a good alternative, free or otherwise, that does what "any video to dvd converter and burner" This application will take any video format, avi mkv mp4, and convert it and burn it all in one operation. The app automatically adjust the bitrate and resolution to make whatever number of videos fit perfectly on each dvd.

Usb modem to ethernet router?? PLEASE HELP!!!?

Our Modem has two ways to set up- Ethernet or usb. Unfortunately, the prongs to the Ethernet are broken and I now have to resort to using the usb port, which hooks directly into my desk top computer. The only problem with this, is I desperately need to find a way to get my wireless router, hooked up to the internet, which is only Ethernet compatible. I have tried creating a bridge (hooking my router to the computer through Ethernet) and hooking the modem up through USB. This, however, just leaves me completely without internet. I have read somewhere, that I need to give my computer an IP address to make it act as if it is actually the modem. I don't know if that will work and I'm really looking for somebody, who can explain it to me in layman's terms, as I am not a computer genius. If anybody could help me, I would really appreciate it. Trying not to resort to pocketing out a bunch of money so that I can have internet through my home network. Also, my modem requires installation with the USB port, so buying a USB to Ethernet converter will do me not to me any good, as the router has no way of installing the hardware.

Problem with MP4s in Live Movie Maker? Running Vista?

I'm trying to use MP4 video files in Live Movie Maker on my laptop that runs on Vista. Whenever I click the button that says "Add Videos and Photos", the video appears in the timeline but is completely grey. When I click play, it shows that I'm watching the video but it's completely grey and there's no sound. How do I get this file type to work? I have tried using converters, but they all either leave watermarks, or are just trials. Do I just need to install some codecs? If so, where do I get them? Please help me!

Swollen lymph nodes in a 4 yr old?

I took my son to the dentist in Feb. he is 4 and he needed some cavities filled and needed a crown on a tooth, they gave him some laughing gas to ease his nerves. Right after we got home from the dentist I noticed a lump on the base of his neck, I figure maybe he had his neck wrong or because he was tense he has a tense muscle and I really didnt give it a second thought. Well not even a week later it was still there, well I noticed he had another swollen spot under his left ear on the same side as the other lump. I took him to the minor care center and all of his blood work came back normal and they said from him coming from the dentist and having that lump that he more then likely had an infection. They also said they may not ever go down, and after he sees his pcp they may want to biopsy them to make sure that they are not cancerous even though he believes they arent since they didnt just come up they were there right after his dentist appt. He also said that even with the antibiotics that they might never go down. Well he took some really strong antibiotics for two weeks and they went down a whole lot. But they are still there, due to insurance issues I have not been able to take him back to the doctor but I will be able to do it now Monday. I'm worried that they could be cancerous? He eats normal, he isnt sleepy, no night sweats and like I said all of his blood work came back normal even his plat. count. Could it be maybe that he still has an infection or could he just always have swollen lymph nodes. The doctor said that he they just came about for no reason then he would have admitted him into the er right then and there but because they came right after the dentist that they are an infection. Has anyone else had this happen or know anything about lymph nodes? I have looked on web md and have not really found anything. Any help would be great thanks

What should I feed my fish?

I have 3 tanks. The first tank has goldfish and a African Clawed Frog, I feed them Tetramin Goldfish Flakes, and just had to feed them some pea innards because one started floating. The second tank is all Guppies, I give them tropical fish flakes. The third tank, my largest has sword tails, plat ties, black mollies, and ghost shrimp. I feed them My sis Shrimp and Tropical fish Flakes, alternating. I noticed their excrement has been hanging and it seems to be bothering the small platty. Any help is greatly appreciated.

VMS4 DJ Eqpt. & Airport Security?

I am planning on brining a VMS4 DJ unit (a USB controller/mixer). It is platted steel, which means that it will show up as a huge white block on x-ray machines at the airport. I am traveling pretty far, Chicago to Bangkok, so I will go through security more than once. I thought it would be a bad idea to put it into a suitecase, being at risk they will crack open the suite case to see what the huge metalic box is on their x-rays. I have a bunch of HD mkv,avi,mpg4, and mpg videos and some of them I would like to burn to dvd. I really hope to keep the HD video and high bitrates and be able to play them on my LG blue ray player. I also don't particularly want to spend any money. I have an HD video converter so I can make them into DVDs or any other type of video file but when I convert to dvd it downscales the video and lessens the bitrate alot. The videos just don't look as good as there HD counterpart. Is there a method to put these videos on DL dvd without killing the HD and watching them on my player? (an own-a-pony day is where children who use the riding school for lessons can have a pony for the day and they groom and clean tack etc.) I wasn't going to be using him as I was in another country, so I said of course, as long as the family looking after him wouldn't need to use him. So a little girl from the riding school was assigned Robbie, and all was fine until they were given a 'manes and tails' lesson. They were platting, thinning and doing MINOR trimming. Well, the little girl who rode Robbie didn't understand minor, and cut a *TRIANGLE* out of his mane! It is unsalvageable, I may need to hog him if I ever want him to look normal until it grows in. I don't think this is fair, seeing as I lent him to the riding school for a day, an he is a show horse. It has really angered me, especially as she just left me to find out, didn't call me and say there had been an incident. I was wondering, do you think I should complain to the owner of the yard, or just leave it?

Is there a way to get HD audio for Turtle Beach headphones on a TV that has no HDMI input?

I just bought myself a pair of Turtle Beach headphones yesterday and I'm having a bit of a problem. I've got the audio converter that you plug the fiber optic cable into, but, of course, this uses up the port on the Xbox for analog A/V. Now, my TV isn't HDMI-compatible. It only has the yellow/red/white RCA input on the back of it. Is there any way to get the audio/video, or atleast the video, to the TV? Hello, I just bought a 4GB Phillips GoGear Vibe, and when I got it, I could not wait to watch videos on the go for long car rides (even if it does have a tiny screen, I can get used to it) but I can't seem to put it on by dragging the MP4 file (the type you need) to the video folder on the Mp3. So I used Phillips Songbird, the program that comes in, then I placed a short video I wanted to test it out into the media manager, and now I could watch about a couple of seconds. Cheve 1500 slipping out of OD?

I have a friend that has a Cheve Silverado with about 100k mi. It has the tow/haul package..about an 05 model. He will be driving down the road and with no warning, the OD will kick out. It will be under no load or acceleration. He bought the fluid and filter to service the transmission (never has been) but a bunch of guys told him that changing the transmission fluid now could tear it up??? I know the concept of the transmission and torque converter....I drive a F350 and learned a LOT about transmissions with it. So any ideas about the potential problem would be helpful. I think he should start with the fluid/filter. His fluid in it now does not smell burnt.

my boyfriend just changed our transmission fluid and well here is the problem. when ever it he changed it he checked it and it was fine but this morning after sitting all night he goes to check it and it says it overfull so he starts it and lets it warm up and checks it and its back way down to the warm mark it (says 20c) on the stick then after the long drive to work he checks it and it reads on the hot mark (175f). what is with the different readings. he keeps trying to tell me that when it sits all night the fluid in the torque converter goes back to the pan or something

What should I expect down the line for repairs in my 2000 Camry?

It is a 2000 Toyota Camry with about 106,000 miles on it. Replaced the water pump and timing belt at about 95,000 and just replaced a catalytic converter. Now I have an evap code where I need to get a new evap canister before inspection ($400 in parts + $300 in labor). Basically, my question is: with all these recent repairs, what should I expect to see down the road? I don't want to keep putting in $1000+ every year in repairs.

Leaky injectors! Dripping fuel in the engine. The converter usually overheats. It is probably empty already out the back. That would also cause the plugs to misfire. And cause the coils to go out trying to fire the plugs. That's the order of things to check going by the symptoms you discribe. :)

No it wont hurt anything. There are people that run a 5 inch pipe from the turbo all the way through with no muffler, cat or anything. It'll actually be a good thing by keeping the engine run at a cooler temperature, less back pressure more turbo response as well.

so long as you have a proper converter to work it. I'd suggest a 1/4 inch to xlr cable. So long as no wires are snagged or bent, it'll work. Results may be odd, depending what you do to it. I'd recomend doing the guitar track, then going back with some audio editing tools on the recording, like 8 bit distortion or heavy flange/phaser while running a split signal through a vibrato system.

I run a 64-bit Vista with 6GB RAM dual core processor and 600GB HD space (i think 313GB left) and have never had this problem before. unpluged the tcc wire no change it will shift first to second fine even shifts into drive fine & immediatly locks no matter what speed if I accelerate harder you can feel the converter unlock then you can feel it downshift so I know its capable of unlocking also when comming to a stop it will shudder then unlock I bypass this by pulling it down in second right before a stop any ideas

Why are batteries working better than my power supply (ham radio)?

The AC adapter should work better than battery voltage because the supply doesn't change with use. I suspect a problem with the AC converter jack in the radio. Check for corrosion/dirt in the jack or wiring inside the radio. It is possible that your radio isn't compatible with the converter because of some weird design parameter. Check with the radio manufacturer for AC adapter requirements if it isn't the original adapter.

Hey all! So I got the deluxe version of Taylor Swift's first CD today and there's 11 videos. How do I get them on my computer? In the past I would just go to "my computer", right click on it, click "open in new window", and eventually find the videos and drag them wherever I want. It worked with some videos with this deluxe CD, but others were weird. Like the times didn't match up, it was split into two videos, etc... What is happening to my computer!?!?

Please help!! When I turned on my computer the login name and pics were HUGE and so was the "welcome" When i logged in it was the same thing on my desktop so i went to properties>settings> and then i changed it. I fixed it. But why was it like that? Then i opened up internet explorer and whenver i scroll, it is slow and its like a wave across the screen! My computer seems to go quickly but when i scroll it seems slow. Now my computer is slow after using it for a while. I went to Tools> Internet Options> Advanced> and restored it to the original settings and it fixed the scrolling for only like 2 minutes. After all of this, now my computer screen went black quickly and then it came back slowly with black lines all over horizontally on the screen. Im scanning with Marwarebytes but so far doesnt detect anything! ALSO at the beginning, when i barely logged in, a Windows File Protection box came up and says: "Files that are required for Windows to run properly must be copied to the DLL cache Insert your Windows XP Proffesional Service Pack 3 CD now." Yesterday i had downloaded a format converter that someone from Yahoo Answers had told me to download. I downloaded it, but didnt install it all the way because it didnt look like something i could trust. Could this be the problem? The Windows File Protection box started showing up before though.... If they say "dry clean only", then they really should be. Yes, some things that should be dry cleaned can be hand washed with Woolite. But they never look the same as they would if they were dry cleaned. So maybe the answer to your question lies in where you plan to wear these trousers and just how nice you want to look when you do. You can reduce the amount of dry cleaning needed by simply freshening them up with Dryel (see link), but that's not exactly cheap either.

Glass pack on '93 f150?

You can go down to the local muffler shop and have them cut out the muffler and add in a glass pack, but I'd go with a Flowmaster or MagnaFlow. It'll sound better with a 6 cylinder. Leave the Catalytic Converter alone, as the muffler shop will tell you the same thing. You may be looking at a few hundred at the most for this. But you could price around a few shops to get estimates so you'll know for sure.

Check to see if one of the u-joints broke in the rear axle. Also, if it is a 4x4, put it in 4 wheel drive and see if it moves, if it does then your tranny is fine and it's something from the transfer case back.

I have 3 tanks. The first tank has goldfish and a African Clawed Frog, I feed them Tetramin Goldfish Flakes, and just had to feed them some pea innards because one started floating.
