Catalytic converter removal?

I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 with the 4.7 motor. I am thinking of removing my cat converter and am wondering about any "chips" that remove the "check engine" light that will turn on after I take them out. Please no smart comments about "cat" converter. I am not in the mood at the moment. Thanks.
