The parts of a muffler!?

I have to replace from the catalytic converter to the tailpipe (i think thats what its called) in a 96 honda civic. From what i see its mostly alot of screwing one piece into the other and clamping it on and i am aware of buying a brand new stock converter etc, just curious as to what i would need parts wise?
