Would the dealership care if my car didn't have a catalytic converter?

It has a dual exhaust so one side has a cat that was gut out as it was cost effective. But it smells and is louder so you can tell it does not have one on that side. Will the dealership care? This in Florida?? I wanted to have it serviced for something else.
