Can't connect to Rock Band 2 Online for PS3?

Ok, I try and connect to people online, first off i know nobody plays this game anymore. I try connect to my friends on ps3 and everytime it'll say failed to connect to server. I'm considering taking my ps3 down and connecting it wirely but i don't see why this would be an issue since i can play any other game with my friends just fine including rock band and rock band 3. I really need 2 play online with rock band 2 for plat though. Any suggestions?
