Can someone explain the new Starcraft 2 replacement thing?

Im plat 2v2 gold 3v3 and plat 4v4, and unplaced 1v1, with 4 more to play, i heard that the new patch will have you play 1 placement. is that true? and if it is will i still play my 4 normal or will i do 1! can you please help!
