Can I charge an iPod Touch in a different voltage?

If I buy an iPod Touch in Canada and a power outlet charger for it in Canada and bring them both to China. (I have a two plug (canada) to three plug (china) converter. If i plug in the charge to my iPod, would voltage difference fry my iPod, or would the iPod Touch autmoatically accept it?Would the converter convert the voltage for me??
