How to get movies on ipod touch 4g?

I have a 4th generation iPod touch. It is jailbroken. I am looking for how to get movies on to my iPod. I don't want to buy the movie from apple I want to download from the internet. I think to make them work on your iPod you have to convert them to a mp4 file or something like that. What converter should I use and what website is best to download them from? I have used vuze and torrentz but vuze wont download the torrent it just gets stuck a 0%. And it says I need additional software then freezes for a bit. But that's my computers fault. I have windows XP. All help is greatly appreciated and please dintt answer saying I'm a bad person for hacking or anything to that nature. ANd i want this whole process free unless there is an app I can get to help me. I don't want to get BigU movies either because that is expensive. Thanks!
