Usb modem to ethernet router?? PLEASE HELP!!!?
Our Modem has two ways to set up- Ethernet or usb. Unfortunately, the prongs to the Ethernet are broken and I now have to resort to using the usb port, which hooks directly into my desk top computer. The only problem with this, is I desperately need to find a way to get my wireless router, hooked up to the internet, which is only Ethernet compatible. I have tried creating a bridge (hooking my router to the computer through Ethernet) and hooking the modem up through USB. This, however, just leaves me completely without internet. I have read somewhere, that I need to give my computer an IP address to make it act as if it is actually the modem. I don't know if that will work and I'm really looking for somebody, who can explain it to me in layman's terms, as I am not a computer genius. If anybody could help me, I would really appreciate it. Trying not to resort to pocketing out a bunch of money so that I can have internet through my home network. Also, my modem requires installation with the USB port, so buying a USB to Ethernet converter will do me not to me any good, as the router has no way of installing the hardware.
Problem with MP4s in Live Movie Maker? Running Vista?
I'm trying to use MP4 video files in Live Movie Maker on my laptop that runs on Vista. Whenever I click the button that says "Add Videos and Photos", the video appears in the timeline but is completely grey. When I click play, it shows that I'm watching the video but it's completely grey and there's no sound. How do I get this file type to work? I have tried using converters, but they all either leave watermarks, or are just trials. Do I just need to install some codecs? If so, where do I get them? Please help me!
Advice for aftermarket deck or ipod integration for a 2004 pontiac grand prix gtp?
I have a 2004 Pontiac grand prix gtp and I need to get an iPod hookup to the cars sound system. I would get a cd deck but don't know how to put one in when I have the air controls on that panel and I need to keep the 8 disc cd changer. Is there a stereo converter for my car that can fit an aftermarket deck and allow me to use the air controls as well as my cd changer ? If not is there just a cord I can install to my factory unit to allow me to hook me iPod up to it without losing quality ? Any help is appreciated thanks !!!
Cayenne Turbo 2005, Fuel Question?
Lower octane really doesn't mean a thing. Explanation---> All octane ratings really have the same amount of heat output, so they create the same amount of power. The only thing 98 does instead of 95 is it reduces your chance of sparkknock. You don't need any octane booster. You're fine. Octane booster is a bottle of wasted money for this case.
MKV to AVI Converter?
Hi, guys, convert MKV file to AVI file, that's easy, but I don't think there is a free converter can do that well, because I have tried many free softwares, none of them work well, some of them have many limits, some of them are poor quality, some of them are so slow, some of them even have virus, so now I'm using a cheap software RZ Video Converter to do that, it can convert any video files or audio files between different formats, such as convert MKV file to AVI file, etc, you can yahoo or google search and download RZ Video Converter, only register version without watermark, but so cheap, hope it can help you.
